About Our Founder and CEO, Sagi Dovev

Major Sagi Dovev (res) is a senior close combat instructor with Israel's elite Sayeret Matkal unit and special forces. A former competitive athlete who represented Israel internationally, he has spent the past decade developing unique training techniques to build physical and mental resilience among soldiers.

Since the current war began, Sagi has been volunteering full-time in the rehabilitation department at Sheba Medical Center, helping soldiers and freed hostages restore their sense of control, security, and hope. He personally accompanies each hero according to their evolving physical and psychological needs while raising awareness through inspirational social media videos that document the rehabilitation journey.

These videos showcase active recovery in progress, helping heroes develop self-efficacy, pride, and hope while inspiring volunteerism and mutual support among both new and veteran volunteers.

Sagi’s exceptional work has earned widespread recognition from medical teams and was formally honored with the Israeli Minister of Health’s Shield of Honor for his outstanding contribution to rehabilitation and his transformative leadership in guiding heroes toward healing and empowerment.

Since the outbreak of the "Iron Swords" war, there has been a significant rise in the number of soldiers wounded in combat.

House of Heroes is a nonprofit organization providing comprehensive body and soul rehabilitation services: martial arts training, hydrotherapy, yoga and Pilates, alongside emotional support and psychological counseling. These diverse therapeutic programs help each hero rebuild their sense of security and self-confidence while becoming part of a supportive community that serves as their second home.
